Your files never leave your browser

How it works

How to delete pages from a PDF

1

Load the PDF

Open the file and every page shows up as a thumbnail, rendered on your own device.

2

Select pages to remove

Click each page that has to go. Selected thumbnails are marked, so miscounts are easy to catch.

3

Delete and download

One click removes them and hands you the cleaned file. The original on your disk is untouched.

Where blanks come from

Blank pages you never put there, explained

If your scanned PDF has empty pages scattered through it, the scanner's duplex mode is almost always to blame: it captures both sides of every sheet, and the back of a single-sided page comes through as a blank. A 10-page contract scans into a 20-page file, half of it nothing.

The thumbnail grid makes these trivial to spot - blanks stand out at a glance. Click each one, delete, and the file is back to its real length. Same story for the fax cover sheet nobody needs and the duplicate page from a double feed. One thing to decide before deleting from anything numbered: if the document has printed page numbers, removing a page leaves a visible gap in the sequence. For internal copies that rarely matters; for a court filing it might.

Cleaning up a contract to send?

Once the blanks are gone, the next step is usually a signature. Document eSign sends the tidy version out with signing fields and returns it sealed, with a certificate of who signed and when.

FAQ

Delete PDF pages, answered.

Is deleting pages free?

Entirely - no account, no watermark, no page math. Like all our free tools, it exists so you know where to look when a document needs an actual signature someday.

Is the document uploaded while I work on it?

Never. Thumbnails render and pages get removed inside your browser tab. The network stays quiet the whole time.

Can I remove many pages in one go?

Select as many as you want - three blanks or thirty - and they all go in a single pass.

Does deleting affect the pages that remain?

No. Remaining pages carry over exactly as they were: same text, same image quality, same sizes.

What if I delete the wrong page?

Nothing is lost. The tool writes a new file and leaves your original alone, so you can always reload it and go again.

It says the file is password-protected - now what?

Locked files can't be edited here. Open the PDF where it was created, save a copy without the password, and clean up that copy.

Pages in order? Get them signed.

Most people organizing a PDF are preparing it for someone. Document eSign sends it with signing fields, tracks who opened it, and seals the result.
