Delete or restore a workspace
What deleting a workspace destroys, the 14-day window you have to change your mind, and how the restore link brings everything back.

Deleting a workspace locks it for everyone straight away and erases everything in it after 14 days. Until that window closes any admin can undo it from the restore link emailed at the moment of deletion, and after it there is nothing left to bring back.
Who can do this
Admins of that workspace. The danger zone doesn't appear for managers or members, and you can't delete the only workspace you have.
Before you start
Download whatever matters. The danger zone card lists four consequences:
- Every document goes, completed and signed ones included.
- Templates, contacts, audit trails and stored files are erased with them.
- Any paid subscription is cancelled immediately, and no refund is issued for the rest of the period.
- Every member loses access right away.
Recipients keep theirs a little longer. Links you already sent still work while the workspace is locked, and stop for good once the 14 days run out.
Delete the workspace
-
Open Settings, then Organization, and scroll to the red Danger zone card at the bottom.
-
Read the four consequences listed there, then click Delete this workspace.

-
In the dialog, type the workspace name exactly as shown above the field. The next button stays disabled until it matches.
-
Click Send verification code. A six-digit code goes to your own email address, which the dialog names.

-
Enter the code within ten minutes, or use Resend code for a fresh one.
-
Click Permanently delete workspace.
You are moved into another workspace you belong to, or signed out if that was your last one.
What happens next
The workspace locks immediately. Members can't sign in to it, and the subscription is cancelled. Every admin receives an email naming who requested the deletion and the exact date it becomes permanent.
That email carries the restore link. Nothing else needs to happen for the deletion to complete: leave it alone for 14 days and the workspace, its documents, templates, files and audit trails are erased.
Restore a workspace
Open the restore link from the email. No sign-in is needed.
The page asks Restore this workspace? and explains what it does. Click Restore workspace and the deletion is cancelled: the workspace, its documents and its members all come back, and it returns on the Free plan whatever it was paying for before. From there, Sign in takes you back to normal, and you can re-subscribe from the billing page.
The link works once, and only during the grace period.
If something goes wrong
- "That code is not right." The digits don't match the code emailed. Check the most recent email, since a resend invalidates the older code.
- The dialog jumped back to the first step. Your code expired, or there were too many wrong attempts. Request a new one and try again.
- "That link doesn't work." on the restore page. The link was already used, or the 14 days ran out and the workspace has been erased.
- There is no Danger zone on the page. You are not an admin of this workspace.
- A workspace disappeared without you deleting it. Another admin scheduled the deletion. Check your inbox for the notice, which names them and carries the restore link.
Frequently asked questions
How long do I have to change my mind?
Fourteen days from the moment you confirm. During that window the workspace is locked but intact, and any admin can bring it back from the restore link. Once the window closes the documents, templates, files and audit trails are erased for good, with nothing left to recover.
Who gets the restore link?
Every admin of the workspace, by email, as soon as the deletion is scheduled. That includes admins who had nothing to do with it, which is deliberate, because one person acting alone should not be able to erase a company's records without anyone else getting the chance to stop it.
What happens to our subscription?
Any paid plan is cancelled immediately and no refund is issued for the rest of the period. If you restore the workspace later it comes back on the Free plan, not the plan you were on, so you would subscribe again from the billing page afterwards.
Can recipients still open documents we already sent?
During the 14 days, yes. Their existing links keep working while the workspace sits locked. Once the window closes, every document, certificate and stored file is erased and those links stop working for good. Download what you need, and send the other side their copies, before that deadline.
Can I delete a workspace I am only a member of?
No. Deleting needs the admin role in that specific workspace, and the danger zone is not shown to anyone else. Nobody can delete their last remaining workspace either, so leave a spare in place or hand the account over instead.
What if the verification code does not arrive?
Use the Resend code link in the dialog, and check the spam folder of the address shown on screen. Codes expire after ten minutes, and too many wrong attempts sends you back to the first step, where a fresh code can be requested.
