Work in multiple workspaces
Run separate workspaces for different brands or departments under one login, and switch between them from the topbar.

A workspace holds its own documents, members and plan, and nothing crosses between them. Run one per brand, per department or per client, and move between them from the switcher in the topbar without signing out.
Who can do this
Workspace admins, on Business and above. Managers and members see the page, but where the form would be it reads "Only workspace admins can create or delete workspaces."
Create a workspace
-
Open Settings, then Advanced features, then Multiple workspaces.
-
Under Create a new workspace, type a Workspace name. It's what the switcher shows, and how you tell the two apart everywhere else.
-
Click Upload logo if you have one. PNG, JPEG, WEBP or SVG up to 2 MB, and the Brand color field fills itself from the image.
-
Adjust the Brand color by hand if the auto-picked shade isn't the one you want.

-
Click Create workspace.
The app reloads into the new workspace with you as its admin. Everything else starts blank.
Switch between workspaces
The topbar button showing your workspace name is the switcher. Click it and a Workspaces list drops down. Each row names a workspace you belong to and your role in it, with a tick against the one you're in. Admins who can add more get Create workspace at the bottom. Pick a name and the app reloads on the dashboard of that workspace.
The same list also appears on this settings page, where each row has Switch to or an Active badge.

What is separate, and what is shared
| Separate per workspace | Shared across all of them |
|---|---|
| Documents, templates and public links | Your login and password |
| Contacts, teams and members with their roles | Your name and avatar |
| Policies and branding | Your saved signature |
| The plan and its own billing | Your security settings, two-factor included |
A document sent from one workspace is invisible from the other, which is the point. Language, timezone and date format are set per workspace too, though a new one copies them from the workspace you create it from.
If something goes wrong
- Creating one is refused with a mention of Business. The workspace you are creating from is below Business. Upgrade it, or create from another workspace of yours that already qualifies.
- "You've reached the maximum of 10 workspaces." Delete one you no longer need to free a slot.
- The bin icon is missing from a row. You are not an admin of that workspace, or it is the only one you have. Nobody can delete their last workspace.
- A link you had open stops working after switching. Documents and templates belong to one workspace, so a saved link only opens while you are in the workspace that owns it. Switch back and try again.
- Your teammates cannot see the new workspace. Members are per workspace. Invite them from the Team page inside it.
Frequently asked questions
How many workspaces can I create?
Ten per person, counted across everything you have created and not deleted. Deleting one frees the slot. The cap holds on every plan, so a single Business subscription cannot be used to spin up an unlimited supply of free workspaces.
Does a new workspace inherit my plan?
No. Each one starts on Free with its own subscription, and you upgrade whichever needs it. Only the workspace you create from has to be on Business or above, so a small side workspace can sit on Free indefinitely while your main one is paid.
Do my teammates move across automatically?
No. Members belong to one workspace, so a new one starts with you as its only admin. Invite the people who need it from the Team page of that workspace, and someone can hold different roles in each without a second account.
What does carry over when I create one?
Language, timezone, date format and time format are copied from the workspace you create it from, so dates read the same way in both. Everything else starts empty, with no documents, no templates, no contacts, no teams, no branding, and no members but you.
Why can I not see the workspace switcher?
You belong to a single workspace and cannot create more, so the topbar shows a plain chip with the workspace name rather than a dropdown. A dropdown appears as soon as either condition changes, whether that is joining a second workspace or being an admin of one on Business and above.
