Update your profile, photo and theme
Change your name, job title and profile photo under Settings, Profile, and switch the app between light and dark from the same page.
Your name, job title and photo live in one place: Settings > Profile. What you save there travels with every envelope you send and lands on the audit certificate of every completed document, so it is worth getting right on day one.
Update your profile name and title
-
Open Settings > Profile.
-
Edit First name, Last name or Title. A first name is required, the other two are optional.
-
Click Save changes. It stays greyed out until something on the form differs from what is saved, which is your cue that nothing has changed yet.

Title is worth a mention on its own. Set it to something like VP of Engineering and any Title field placed on a document you sign fills itself in, so you are not retyping your role on every contract. See field types for what a Title field does on the page.
Your email address sits on the same form but is read-only, because moving an account to a new address needs its own checks. Changing your email address covers that flow.
Add or change your photo
-
Click Upload photo and pick a PNG, JPG or WebP file up to 10 MB.
-
Drag the image to position it and use the Zoom slider until the circle holds what you want.

-
Click Save photo.
Cropping happens in your browser before anything is sent, so a 9 MB photo from a phone arrives as a small square. To go back to the plain grey avatar, click Remove beside the upload button.
Switch between light and dark
Scroll to the Appearance card at the bottom of the page and pick Light, System or Dark. There is nothing to save. The app repaints as you click.

System follows whatever your operating system is set to and flips with it.
What happens next
Your name is stamped onto each envelope at the moment you send it, so a correction today doesn't reach anything already out for signature. Your avatar is app-only: it shows in the sidebar and on this page, and nobody who opens a signing link or reads an audit certificate ever sees it. Your theme is stored by the browser you picked it in, not on your account, so a second laptop or a private window opens on Light until you set it there too.
If something goes wrong
- "Image is over 10 MB. Pick a smaller file." The file you picked is above the 10 MB cap, which is checked before any upload starts. Export it at a lower resolution, or screenshot it and upload that.
- "Please choose an image file." The file you picked is not an image at all. Only PNG, JPG and WebP are accepted here.
- Save changes stays greyed out. Nothing on the form has been edited yet. Change a field and the button lights up.
- A recipient still sees your old name. Envelopes carry the name that was saved when they went out. Cancel and resend if it matters, or tell them by hand.
- The theme snapped back to Light. Private windows and cleared browsing data both wipe the stored preference. Pick your theme again on that browser.
Frequently asked questions
Where does my name actually show up?
On the signing request emails you send, on the recipients list of every envelope, and on the audit certificate attached to a completed document. Recipients see the name saved here at the moment the envelope goes out, so fix a misspelling before you send rather than after.
What does the Title field do?
It fills the Title field automatically when you sign a document that has one placed on it. Nothing else reads it, and it is optional. Leave it empty if your role changes often, and you can still type a title by hand on each document you sign.
Why can I not type in the Email box?
Changing the address that signs you in needs a password check and a code sent to the new mailbox, so it has its own dialog behind the Change button next to that box. The Profile form only saves name and title.
Does my theme choice follow me to another computer?
No. Light, System and Dark are remembered by the browser you picked them in, so a second laptop or a private window starts on Light again. Nobody else in your workspace sees your choice, and it has no effect on the documents your signers open.
My photo will not upload. What size does it need to be?
Pick a PNG, JPG or WebP no larger than 10 MB. Anything bigger is refused before the upload starts. The cropper shrinks whatever you choose to a square before it reaches us, so a large phone photo is fine as long as it sits under that cap.
