Dashboard overview
Your landing page after sign-in: this month's Sent, Signed and Declined counts, everything still Pending, a drop zone to start a document, your default signature and recent templates.
You land on the dashboard after signing in. It shows recent activity in four counters, gives you a drop zone to start a new document, keeps your default signature one click away, and lists your most recently edited templates.

Dashboard header
A greeting line tells you how many documents are still awaiting a signature. To its right is your default signature: a + Add signature button until you have one, then a small image of the signature itself. Click it to change it. Set your default signature and initials explains why that matters.
Four counters
| Card | What it counts | Where it goes when clicked |
|---|---|---|
| Sent | Documents sent this calendar month | The full Documents list |
| Signed | Documents completed by every signer this month | Documents filtered to Signed |
| Pending | Documents still waiting on at least one signer, whatever month they were sent | Documents filtered to In progress |
| Declined | Documents a signer declined this month | Documents filtered to Declined |
Under each number is the change against last month, for example "+3 vs last month" or "No change vs last month". Whose documents are counted depends on your role. Admins see the whole workspace, Managers see their teams' documents, and Members see only the documents they sent themselves.
Start a document from the drop zone
Drop a PDF, Word file or image onto Drop a file to start a new envelope, or click Upload. Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive open the provider's own file picker. Once the upload finishes you land on the recipients step of the send wizard with a draft already saved.

Limits are the same as in the wizard: PDF, DOCX, PNG or JPG, up to 25 MB each, up to 10 files.
Recent templates
Recent templates shows the five most recently edited templates, archived ones excluded. Hover a row to reveal Use template, which starts a send with that template's roles and fields already in place. See all opens the Templates page. A workspace with no templates sees a Create your first template button instead.
Banners
Banners appear above the greeting only when there is something to act on:
- What's new / Heads up / Important. A card at the top of the dashboard carrying a product announcement. Close it with the X and it stays closed in that browser until a different announcement is published.
- N documents left this month. Shown on the Free plan as you approach the monthly sending cap, with a link to view plans.
- Plan and trial notices. Whoever manages billing sees N days left on your Business trial during the last seven days of the trial, with a Choose a plan button. After a downgrade, Your workspace is on the Free plan appears whenever something in the workspace goes beyond the Free limits. View what's affected lists exactly what, and nothing is deleted automatically.
- 1 person wants to join your workspace. Admins only. Someone signed up with your company's email domain. Review request opens the Team page to approve or decline.
Top bar and sidebar
A search box (or Cmd+K / Ctrl+K) finds documents and templates by name from any page. Send for signature starts the wizard. Bulk send sits next to it on plans that include it. On the left, the workspace name switches between workspaces when you belong to more than one.
In the sidebar you find Dashboard, Documents, Inbox, Templates, Public links, Bulk sends and Contacts. Admins also see Team, Reports and Settings under Administration, plus an Invite teammate shortcut. See Command palette and mobile tips for the shortcuts.
If something goes wrong
- All four counters show 0. Nothing has been sent this month by anyone your role can see, so open Documents for older activity.
- The drop zone refuses a file. Check the type and size: PDF, DOCX, PNG or JPG under 25 MB. The wizard's upload step reports the same rule.
- "You've used all your documents for this month." Your Free plan's monthly cap is reached. The banner shows when the count resets, and upgrading lifts it immediately.
- A "Set up your workspace" dialog keeps appearing. It shows to the first admin until the workspace has a name. Fill it in once, or close it and it stays closed on that browser.
- The default signature image looks faint. It fades until you hover over it. Click it to open the signature dialog if you want to replace it.
Frequently asked questions
Why do the dashboard counters not match my Documents list?
Sent, Signed and Declined count the current calendar month only, and the small line under each number compares it with the previous month. Pending is the exception and counts every document still in progress, whenever it was sent. The Documents list shows everything you can access, whatever the date. Click a card to open the list filtered to that status.
Why do I not see the Team link or the join-request banner?
Both are for workspace admins. Team management lives under Administration in the sidebar and is hidden from Managers and Members, and the "wants to join your workspace" banner only shows to admins because only they can approve or decline. Ask an admin if you need someone added.
Can I upload more than one file from the dashboard drop zone?
Yes. Drop several files at once, or select several in the file picker, and they go into one envelope in the order you dropped them. The document takes its name from the first file. You then land on the recipients step with the files already attached.
The trial banner disappeared after I closed it. Is the trial over?
No. Closing the trial banner hides it for the rest of the day; it returns the next day while the trial is still running. In the last two days it cannot be closed at all. The exact end date is always shown under Settings > Billing.
Where do the Recent templates come from?
The list shows the five templates in your workspace that were edited most recently, skipping archived ones. Hover a row and click Use template to start a send from it. Click See all to open the full Templates page, where you can create and edit templates.
