Reports and CSV export

Reports is every envelope your workspace has sent, with date, status and name filters, four headline numbers, and a CSV of whatever the filter currently matches.

Reports lists every envelope your workspace has sent, narrows it by date, status or name, and hands the result over as a CSV. It opens on the last thirty days.

Who can see it

Admins and managers. A member gets no Reports link in the sidebar, and the figures themselves are refused server-side, so typing the address in by hand returns an error instead of the table.

One thing managers should know. The Documents list shows you your team, while Reports covers the whole workspace, so the numbers here count everybody's sends alongside your own.

The four summary cards

The Reports page with its summary cards, filters and envelope table

CardWhat it measures
Total sentEnvelopes matching the date range and search, whatever their status
CompletionSigned as a share of settled envelopes, with the completed count below it
In progressHow many are still out collecting signatures
Time to signMedian gap between an envelope being sent and completing

Two details behind the Completion card. Settled means signed, declined, expired or cancelled, so anything still in flight is left out of the sum rather than counted as a failure. And where a multi-signer envelope has some signatures but not all, the card adds a partial count beside the completed one, which is the difference between "nobody is responding" and "we are waiting on the last person".

The cards follow the date range and the search box but ignore the status filter, so the breakdown of the period stays visible while you drill into one status in the table.

Filters

Three controls sit above the table.

Date range opens a popover with presets down the left and a two-month calendar beside them: Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Month to date, Quarter to date, Year to date and All time. Click two dates on the calendar for anything else. The range applies to the send date.

Status offers All sent, In progress, Signed, Declined, Expired and Cancelled, which carry the same meanings they do on the document itself. Drafts are never included, on any setting.

The search box matches the document name and nothing else, so a signer's email address will not find their envelope here.

The table

Columns run Document, Status, Recipients, Sender, Sent and Completed, with an arrow on the right that opens the envelope. A team name appears under the document title when the envelope belongs to one. Recipients shows the signers as stacked avatars, and hovering one gives you their name, email and where they got to.

Completed means different things by status, which is the point of having it: the completion date for a signed envelope, the moment of refusal for a declined one, and the cancellation or expiry date for the other two.

Fifty rows load at a time. Load more at the foot of the table fetches the next fifty.

Export to CSV

Click Export CSV. The file downloads as envelopes- plus today's date and holds every row matching your current filters, including the pages you never scrolled down to. When a filter matches nothing the button is dimmed and its tooltip reads Nothing to export.

Twelve columns come out:

ColumnContents
document_idThe envelope's id, the same one the row menu copies
nameDocument name
statusCurrent status in capitals
sender_name, sender_emailWho sent it
created_atWhen it was sent, ISO format in UTC
signed_at, cancelled_at, expired_atWhichever ending applies, blank for the rest
recipient_countEveryone on the envelope, signers and copy holders
signed_count, declined_countHow many of them signed and how many refused

Sorting is newest first, matching the table. The CSV is a record of the envelopes, not the paperwork itself; the signed and audit PDFs still come from each document's own page.

If something goes wrong

  • Export CSV is grayed out. No rows match. Widen the date range or clear the status filter.
  • The numbers disagree with the Documents list. Documents is scoped by your role and includes drafts. Reports is workspace-wide and excludes them.
  • A recent envelope is missing. Check the range. The default covers thirty days, and All time settles the question quickly.
  • Time to sign reads a dash. Nothing in the period completed, so there is no median to take.
  • A search returns nothing you expected. It only looks at document names. Rename future envelopes with the counterparty in the title if you search that way often.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why can I not see Reports in the sidebar?

The page is limited to admins and managers, so a member never sees the link. Ask a workspace admin to change your role if you need it. The restriction is enforced by the server as well, not only by hiding the navigation item from view.

Does the export cover only the rows on screen?

No, and this is the useful part. The table loads fifty at a time, but the CSV contains every envelope matching your current date range, status and search, however many pages that would have been. Load more changes what you see, never what you export.

Why is my completion rate above the share of documents signed?

Because envelopes still in flight are left out of the sum. The rate compares signed documents against settled ones only, meaning signed plus declined plus expired plus cancelled. Something sent yesterday and still waiting cannot drag the number down before anyone has had a chance to sign.

Do drafts appear in Reports?

Never. Reports is a record of what actually went out, so an envelope that has not been sent is invisible here regardless of the filter you pick. Drafts live in the Documents list instead, where a status tab of their own collects them.

The date range does not match when people signed.

Correct, and worth knowing before you reconcile a month. The range filters on when each envelope was sent, not on when it completed, so a document sent on the last day of March and signed in April counts towards March.

What time zone are the CSV timestamps in?

UTC, written in full ISO format so a spreadsheet or a script can parse them without guesswork. The on-screen table renders the same instants in your workspace time zone, which is why an export can look an hour or two out of step with the page.
