Billing and plans

Compare plans: Free, Growth, Business, Ultimate and custom

What each plan actually includes, in plain terms - sending limits, seats, templates, branding, bulk send, the developer API, and where custom plans fit.

Updated Open in app

There are four plans you can buy yourself: Free, Growth, Business and Ultimate. Free covers occasional signing, Growth removes the monthly sending cap, Business adds bulk send and the controls a growing team needs, and Ultimate charges one flat price for the whole company. Anything outside that ladder is a custom plan we put together with you.

The 10-recipient ceiling is product-wide, not a plan you can buy your way past. Current prices sit on the pricing page, and the same figures appear on the plan cards in the app with a Billed yearly and Billed monthly toggle above them. Yearly is up to 25 percent cheaper, 25 percent on Growth and Business and 24 percent on Ultimate.

The Free plan

Free never expires and never asks for a card. You get 30 documents a month with a ceiling of 10 in any one day, up to 5 recipients on each, 3 saved templates and one user.

Everything that makes a signature stand up legally is included: the audit trail, the completion certificate, sequential or parallel signing, multi-file envelopes, document expiry, two-factor authentication, contacts, and upload from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. What Free doesn't have is a team, and it is the only plan where the monthly count can stop you sending.

The Growth plan

Move to Growth when 30 documents a month stops being enough. The monthly cap disappears entirely and seats become unlimited, priced per user.

It also switches on the day-to-day chasing tools: automatic and manual reminders to signers, a per-signer access PIN, requested attachments, letting a signer hand their signature to a colleague, Slack notifications, workspace-wide two-factor enforcement, document sending policies and configurable audit-trail settings. Templates go from 3 to 10, and support is by email. Custom branding is listed as a Growth headline on the plan card, though your logo, brand color and sender name are in fact editable on every plan from Settings > Branding.

The Business plan

Business turns signing from one person clicking Send into a repeatable process.

On top of everything in Growth you get bulk send from a CSV (10 rows a batch), public template links anyone can fill and sign, scheduled send, custom fields with conditions and validation, in-person signing on a tablet, more than one workspace, a custom consent disclaimer, redirect on completion, your own email sending domain, editable signer email templates, automatic cloud backup and sign-in restricted by IP address. Templates become unlimited. Support moves to priority email.

Business is also the first plan with the developer API. It allows 10 API keys, 5 webhook endpoints per mode and 10 requests a minute per key, with 40 API documents included each month. Go past 40 and the extra documents are charged per document rather than refused, so an integration never stops halfway through a run.

The Ultimate plan

Pay one flat price for the whole organization and stop counting seats. Past a certain headcount that bill is simply the smaller number.

It carries everything in Business and adds single sign-on with SAML or OIDC, SCIM provisioning, a dedicated account manager, and white-label branding. Turn White-label mode on in Settings > Branding and our name comes off signer emails, the signer pages, the signed PDF and the audit certificate. Bulk send goes to 25 rows a batch, the daily ceiling to 500, and the API allowance to 200 documents a month.

Custom plans

Enterprise is no longer a tier you can pick from a page. Bespoke arrangements are built one at a time as a custom plan on your workspace, and that's how HIPAA support, data residency in a chosen region, serving signing pages from your own domain and sealing PDFs with your own signing certificate are arranged. Invoice billing instead of a card is handled the same way.

Click Get a custom quote at the bottom of the plan page to start that conversation.

The Get a custom quote row at the bottom of the plan page

If your workspace is already on a custom plan, the billing page says Your plan is managed for you and swaps the plan grid for a Contact us about your plan button. Self-serve upgrades and seat purchases are switched off there on purpose. A negotiated agreement should not be replaceable by a standard price with one stray click.

How the plan is billed

Growth and Business are priced per user. The bill follows how many seats you have bought. Ultimate is a single flat price no matter how many people you add. All prices are listed in US dollars and processed by Dodo Payments, our payment provider and merchant of record. Your card's currency and any tax are worked out at checkout from the billing address you confirm there.

Detail on both of those lives in add or remove seats and change or upgrade your plan.

If something goes wrong

  • A feature you expected is not there after upgrading. Reload the page. Entitlements refresh when the payment is confirmed, which usually lands a second or two after you return from checkout.
  • A control tells you the feature is on a higher plan. Some gated controls look completely normal and open the panel when you click them; others are greyed out and show it when you hover or tab onto them. Either way the panel names the plan that includes the feature and links straight to it.
  • You're on Ultimate and can't find Manage seats. Ultimate is a flat plan with no seats to buy, so the control is hidden. Invite as many teammates as you need and the bill does not move.
  • Your plan card shows a name that is not in the table above. You are on a custom plan, and its limits are whatever your agreement says rather than anything listed here.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Growth and Business?

Growth is unlimited sending for a small team, with reminders, access PINs, signer attachments and Slack notifications. Business adds the tools for running signing at scale, starting with bulk send from a CSV, public template links, scheduled send, custom fields, in-person signing, your own email sending domain and the developer API.

Is Ultimate worth it over Business?

Ultimate makes sense once your headcount makes per-user pricing the larger number. It is one flat price for the whole workspace with no per-user charge, and it adds single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, white-label branding and a dedicated account manager on top of everything in Business.

Do you still sell an Enterprise plan?

Not as a public tier. Anything bespoke is now a custom plan we build for you, which is how HIPAA support, data residency, your own signing domain and your own signing certificate are arranged. Click Get a custom quote on the plan page to start that conversation.

Does Free expire?

No. Free is free forever, with 30 documents a month, 3 saved templates and a single user. It is also where a workspace lands if the 14-day Business trial runs out without anyone buying a plan, and everything you created during the trial stays where it is.

Can I mix plans across my team?

No. A plan applies to the whole workspace, and every member works under it. If two parts of your company need different setups, Business and above let you run more than one workspace, each with its own branding and its own subscription.

Which plans include API access?

Business and Ultimate. Both allow 10 API keys, 5 webhook endpoints per mode and 10 requests a minute per key. Business includes 40 API documents a month and Ultimate includes 200. Documents beyond that are billed per document rather than blocked, so an automation never stops mid-run.
